We want you to love every FatBrainLabs kit! If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. Your child's learning journey is important to us, and we stand behind the quality of our products.

1. Return Eligibility

  • Unused kits in original packaging with all components intact
  • Defective or damaged products (even if used)
  • Wrong item received (different from order)
  • Missing components or incomplete kits
  • Products that do not match description or images

Note: Opened kits can be returned within 7 days if unused and all components are present.

  • Kits with missing components (unless originally defective)
  • Partially used materials or consumed supplies
  • Products damaged due to misuse or not following instructions
  • Customized or personalized kits (unless defective)
  • Digital content or downloadable materials (once accessed)
  • Clearance or final sale items (marked as non-returnable)
  • Returns initiated after 30 days from delivery (unless warranty claim)

Receive Return Authorization

Within 1-2 business days, we will:

  • Review your request and approve if eligible
  • Provide a Return Authorization (RA) number
  • Send return shipping instructions
  • Arrange free pickup (for defective items or our error)

  • Pack securely in original packaging (if possible)
  • Include RA number on package and inside
  • Remove or cover original shipping labels
  • Ship to provided return address
  • Keep tracking number for your records

3.1 Refund Methods

  • Original Payment Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used
  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days after processing
  • UPI/Wallet: 3-5 business days after processing
  • Net Banking: 5-7 business days after processing
  • Store Credit: Available immediately (optional, 10% bonus value)

3.2 What Gets Refunded

  • Full product price
  • Original shipping costs (if product was defective or our error)
  • Gift wrap fees (if applicable)
  • Applicable taxes (GST)

3.3 What Is NOT Refunded

  • Return shipping costs (unless product was defective or our error)
  • Original shipping costs (for customer preference returns)
  • Discount codes or promotional credits (these remain in your account)

4. Exchanges

We're happy to exchange products for a different age group, interest, or difficulty level!

Exchange Process:

  1. Follow the return process above and select "Exchange" as reason
  2. Specify the replacement product you'd like
  3. We'll ship the replacement as soon as we receive your return
  4. No additional shipping charges (if exchange value is equal or higher)

Price Difference: If the replacement is less expensive, we'll refund the difference. If it's more expensive, we'll send a payment link for the difference before shipping.

5. Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a defective or damaged product, we apologize! We'll make it right immediately.

What Qualifies as Defective:

  • Missing components from the kit
  • Broken or damaged parts upon arrival
  • Components that don't work as described
  • Manufacturing defects or quality issues
  • Packaging damage affecting product integrity

For customer-paid returns, shipping costs typically range from ₹60-150 depending on location and carrier.

7. Subscription Returns & Cancellations

7.1 Monthly Subscriptions

  • Each monthly kit can be returned individually within 30 days of receipt
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of current billing cycle
  • No refunds for partial months, but you keep access until period ends
  • You can pause subscription for up to 3 months instead of canceling

7.2 Prepaid Subscriptions (3/6/12 months)

  • Cancel within 30 days of initial purchase for full refund (if no kits used)
  • After 30 days: pro-rated refund for unused months minus 15% restocking fee
  • Individual monthly kits can still be returned per standard policy

8. Bulk & Institutional Orders

For schools, institutions, and bulk orders (10+ kits):

  • Extended return period: 60 days from delivery
  • Partial returns accepted: Return unused kits from bulk orders
  • Sample program: Order 1-2 kits to evaluate before bulk purchase
  • Dedicated support: Contact education@fatbrainlabs.com for assistance
  • Custom agreements: Discuss specific return terms for large orders

9. Lost or Stolen Packages

We ship all orders with tracking. If your package shows delivered but you didn't receive it:

  1. Check with neighbors, building management, or family members
  2. Verify shipping address in your order confirmation
  3. Contact us within 3 days with order number and tracking info
  4. We'll initiate a carrier investigation
  5. Replacement or refund issued once investigation concludes (typically 7-10 days)

Note: We cannot be held responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery. We recommend shipping to secure locations or using signature-required delivery for high-value orders.

10. International Orders

For orders shipped outside India:

  • Standard 30-day return policy applies
  • Customer responsible for return shipping costs (unless defective)
  • Customer responsible for any customs fees or import duties
  • Refunds issued in original transaction currency

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I return a kit if my child already opened it?

Yes, as long as it's within 7 days, unused, and all components are present. After 7 days, we can only accept returns for defective products.

What if only one component is defective?

No need to return the entire kit! We'll send just the replacement component. Contact defects@fatbrainlabs.com with details.

How do I know if my return was received?

We'll email you a confirmation within 2 business days of receiving your return. You can also check status in your account portal.

Can I get a refund to a different payment method?

Refunds must go to the original payment method for security reasons. Alternatively, choose instant store credit with 10% bonus value.

What if I'm past the 30-day return window?

Contact us anyway! We evaluate cases individually. Defective products are covered by 1-year warranty regardless of return window.
